Editor’s Note: We recently asked Sam, an intern at Verlo Mattress, if he would be willing to try out Verlo’s newly launch Verlo-to-Go mattress, which is a gel memory foam mattress in a box. Being a good sport, Sam was game. Enjoy reading Sam’s comments, as well as watching the awesome video he produced about his experience.
I recently got a new mattress from Verlo. It wasn’t just any mattress, it was a Verlo-to-Go mattress. If you’re not familiar with what Verlo-to-Go is, let me fill you in. Verlo-to-Go is a mattress that comes in a compact box, making it easy to carry and move around. The mattress is compressed inside the box and expands once you cut it out of the packaging.
I picked up my Verlo-to-Go mattress from the Verlo store in Wauwatosa, WI, and I ended up getting a queen-size bed. The thing that blew my mind was how easy it was to carry the box, by myself. I carried the queen-sized mattress out of the store and placed it in the backseat of my car. I’m not sure of the exact weight of the mattress, and I’m not a bodybuilder or anything, but I was able to easily move and carry it.
So, the ease of carrying and moving the mattress around is for sure a great feature. But I’m sure a lot of you out there are saying, “Well alright Sam, it’s easy to carry, but how does the mattress actually feel when you sleep on it? Surely that’s more important.” If you are one of those people, I would agree 100 percent.
For me, the Verlo-to-Go being in a convenient box is a great feature, but if the mattress doesn’t feel good when you sleep on it, it’s all kind of lost.
Let me assure you that the mattress is very comfortable, I’ve been sleeping on it for a week now and it has been by far the best mattress I’ve slept on. I won’t be going back to any other mattress anytime soon.
It feels great, and the convenience of it being in a box makes the whole mattress buying experience better in my opinion. It removes the whole hassle of trying to figure out how to get a giant queen-sized mattress in your car, or strapping it on top of your car and driving 20 miles below the speed limit so it doesn’t fall off.
It was a great experience from start to finish, fast and convenient, I wouldn’t change a thing about it, and I encourage my fellow millennials to give Verlo-to-Go a try.
