Memorial Day Sale with a Purpose

may 11 summer campSUMMER CAMP is a right of passage for many kids – a time for them to safely tip their toes into the pool of independence, away from mom and dad, having fun swimming, canoeing and doing crafts with other kids.

But for some children, summer camp offers them much more: a time to heal.

A Special Summer Camp
Camp Hometown Heroes is a very unique kind of camp. It’s a free national summer camp for grieving children who have lost a parent, sibling or other loved one who served in the U.S. military.

Through the support of pediatric grief specialists, the children are afforded the opportunity to enjoy typical summer camp activities – while beginning or continuing the healing process.

These summer camp sessions and healing programs are offered completely free of charge to children aged 7 to 17 – but it’s not really free. It’s made possible through the generosity of thousands of donors and corporate sponsors.

You and Verlo Can Help

As part of our Memorial Day Sale, you can join us in showing our appreciation for the sacrifices our fallen soldiers have made by helping to support the families they left behind – and save on a mattress at the same time. When you purchase a new Verlo mattress, Verlo will donate a portion of the proceeds to Camp Hometown Heroes. Last year, Verlo was able to donate $20,000.

Helping this charitable organization makes all of us at Verlo sleep better at night. If you’d like to help by participating in Verlo’s Memorial Day Sale, click here for more information.
