Back-to-School Sleeping Cheat Sheet

Back-to-School Sleeping Cheat Sheet

The new school year is starting, and in addition to getting all the necessary school supplies, it’s important to make sure your child gets the sleep that’s needed for optimal learning.

According to WebMD, children who are 3 to 6 years old need 10 – 12 hours of sleep per night. And 7 to 12 year olds require 10 – 11 hours. So, if your eight year old needs to wake up at 6:30 a.m., what time is bedtime?

If math has never been your strong point, here’s a chart to help you calculate bedtimes based on wake times and your child’s age. (Just don’t tell your kids that you needed to use a cheat sheet!)

Use this handy chart to calculate what time your child should go to bed.
